The Master Musicians of Jajouka led by Bachir Attar (Les Maître Musiciens de Jajouka avec Bachir Attar) performed in Montréal, Canada on November 10, 2007. This ancient, legendary musical group from Morocco was one the highlights of the eighth Montreal Arab World Festival, organized by Le Festival du Monde Arabe de Montréal. The Master Musicians of Jajouka had excellent publicity in several Montréal newspapers, and were shown on a Canadian television evening news channel.

Bachir Attar and the Master Musicians traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to present a concert of Moroccan music on March 31, 2007, the conclusion of a six-day homage to the expatriate writer and composer Paul Bowles, who lived for over 50 years in Morocco. This world famous Moroccan musical group received a long, standing ovation from the enthusiastic audience. The event was organized by the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisboa.
